Adele Dodd

Hi I’m Adele and I’m a SENDIASS Advisor for Hampshire, Isle of Wight and across the London Boroughs of Richmond & Kingston too.

Due to my own experiences as a parent of a child with additional needs, I was drawn to supporting other parents of children with SEND and in 2016 I started working for Parent Voice which then merged with Support4SEND to become Hampshire SENDIASS in January 2019.

Previous to this, after leaving secondary school teaching to support my disabled son in 2009, I did private tutoring and was a sessional lecturer part time teaching adults. I continue to work for Andover Mind, a local charity supporting people with mental health difficulties.

I have trained in psychodynamic counselling, hold a BA with honours in English Literary Studies.

I look forward to using my experience and passion to ensure all parent carers have access to the information and advice to support their young person through their education.
